Mr. Winston Evans received a B.E. in Civil Engineering from Vanderbilt University in 1970. He then attended the Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he received an M.B.A. in Finance (1971). He then worked in the fields of investment banking and commercial banking until he entered Vanderbilt Law School in the Fall of 1975. He received his J.D. from Vanderbilt Law School in 1978. Since that time, he has actively practiced law in Nashville.

His practice is primarily in the following areas of law: commercial and business litigation; securities litigation; legal- malpractice defense and creditors’ rights. He has defended law firms and lawyers in more than 220 legal-malpractice cases. He has represented plaintiffs in pursuing various tort claims to recover for serious injuries caused by the negligence or intentional misconduct of third parties. He has also represented clients in connection with the negotiation and drafting of contracts and other business transactions.

Mr. Evans is a founding member of Evans, Jones & Reynolds, P.C. He is the third generation of his family to practice law in Nashville. He is rated AV by the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory. He has also been selected for the 2007 directory of America’s Best Lawyers and was chosen for the 2003 Best of the Bar listing in The Nashville Business Journal.
